Local Beaches

The nearest beach is about a mile away at Hartland Quay    Access is via the road down to the Hartland Quay Hotel or the various footpaths.  The beach is a mixture of sand (at low tide) and rock pools.

There is a slipway down to the beach from the Hartland Quay Hotel car park  which is just about accessible (with difficulty) by wheelchair if there are some willing helpers.

Other nice beaches are Sandymouth and Duck Pool.

The beach and cliffs are visited every year by geology students so if you are interested in the geology of the area see Local Geology of Hartland Quay
